If you are inclined to, we can provide you with detailed instructions for meeting the guidelines criteria. We include steps necessary to solve the problem, both in content and code. Our experts highlight the most optimal paths using knowledge and experience from previous audits.

Content creator workshop (optional)

Content grows all the time. Articles change, new staff is added and someone has to track the best practices for making the content inclusive.

We can provide you with a one-day workshop facilitated by our team of experts, to help your content creation team to implement the best practices. During the workshop, we use example cases to explain the use of guidelines and teach your team to be able to do it in the future.

We provide you with tools, such as slides and checklists, that you can use to usher new employees into the process.

We are happy to provide you with training and best practices to make sure your content is accessible. If you don’t have time or capacity, we can take care of this for you.

There are also issues that must be corrected by experienced developers – and that’s where we can help too. After implementing the changes and achieving the success criteria we will update you on any changes to regulations and possible new guidelines.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if my website was already designed with accessibility standards?

That can be, but:

  • A lot has happened the recent years. General UX standards change and current WCAG 2.0 next year you turn into WCAG 2.1 with new rules.
  • “Standards” are usually just a basic minimum. – There is much more untapped potential in your audiences that you probably still do not reach.
  • Website is not everything – your whole customer journey should be as accessible as possible.

What do you get after the audit?

You will get a detailed report, with all issues specified, described and with specific solutions to those problems.

What tools do you use?

WCAG 2.1

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines are provided by W3C (World Wide Web Consortium). It is a set of rules that lets us identify and assess barriers to perception and usability experienced by wide variety of users.

Developer Tools

A set of options provided by modern browsers (we use Chrome and Safari) to see under the hood of a rendered website. It provides and opportunity to analyze the code underlying the various problems and test different solutions.

Alternative input modes

We test the usability of the website using keyboard only and system (MacOS) voiceover option, to assess how users with disabilities may interact with the product.

Google Docs

We use web-based documents to collaborate on the result and be able to update it quickly. Safely stored documents with clear version history and option to precisely set sharing options.

How much does this cost?

Level of investment depends on the size of your website and the amount of content. The shortest audits we have done took 5 days but complex solution can take 25 days of work or more. Contact us for detailed estimate of your website’s accessibility audit.

Can you correct these problems?

Yes. Our design and development team specialize in accessibility implementations.

Can you teach our content editors how to be compliant in the future?

Of course! We can conduct a workshop to teach the best practices and provide a checklist for ensuring content compliance. A well trained in-house team of editors is the most powerful factor in maintaining constantly the standards of accessibility. If you need to onboard a new person our experts are to provide you with the best solution for your needs.
