Akademika needed an e-commerce solution capable of handling up to 250,000 product updates per day, fast and flexible search, and varied data sources.
The chain operates a total of 30 bookstores in Oslo, Akershus, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger, Telemark, Buskerud, Møre og Romsdal, Bodø, Narvik, and Tromsø, in addition to its online store. The company's operations also include sales to libraries, wholesale and direct sales, and academic journals. The company also operates a copy centre for the University of Oslo.
