Akademika needed an online store solution that could handle up to 250,000 product updates per day, fast and flexible search capabilities, and diverse data sources.

The chain operates a total of 30 bookstores in Oslo, Akershus, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger, Telemark, Buskerud, Møre og Romsdal, Bodø, Narvik, and Tromsø, in addition to its online store. The company’s activities also include sales to libraries, wholesale and direct sales, and academic journals. Additionally, the company operates a copy outlet for the University of Oslo.
